NORFOLK, V.A. (October 18, 2018) – Tristen Bowker (Walton, NY / Delaware Academy) earned her first career USCAA Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week, becoming the program's second recipient this season and fourth overall across both the men's and women's teams. The senior earned the honor after a breakthrough performance at Green Mountain College Invitational, where she placed ninth in the 5K race with a time of 21:02.
Bowker crossed the finish line with a personal best, dropping nearly two minutes from her time last year. The Walton, N.Y. native was one of four Delhi women to place in the top ten, helping the Broncos capture a second place finish in their regular-season finale.Me
The Broncos have a week off before beginning their postseason hosting the ACAA Conference Championships, October 27th at 12:00 p.m. at the SUNY Delhi College Golf Course. Head coach Robb Munro's team will then head down to Virginia Beach, Va. for the USCAA National Championships on Friday, Nov. 9.
