Keyes Becomes First Women's Runner to Sweep USCAA, ACAA Weekly Honors

NORFOLK, Va. (September 26, 2018) – Just one day after her first career ACAA weekly honor, Kali Keyes (East Meadow, NY / East Meadow) earned national recognition as the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week. This marks the third straight week a SUNY Delhi cross country runner captured both USCAA and ACAA weekly honors, and the first on the women's side.

The freshman earned her first USCAA honor after a striking performance at the Bard College Fred Pavlich Invitational. In her first six-kilometer race, Keyes crossed the line in 25:21.6 to take fifth overall. Keyes, who has led the women throughout the season helped the Broncos secure a third-place finish. 

The next test for Keyes and the women will be at Mount St. Mary Invitational Saturday, Sept 29 for a six-kilometer race.
