Broncos Attack On Point to Defeat Cazenovia

CAZENOVIA, N.Y. (October 9, 2019) – The SUNY Delhi women's volleyball team used its second-highest kill percentage of the season and fourth-highest kill total in a four-set road victory over Cazenovia Wednesday night. The Broncos returned to the win column following a pair of consecutive defeats to improve to 8-6 on the season.

Delhi pulled out a close first set by a 25-21 score. While the Wildcats answered back with a 25-19 win to tie the match, the Broncos overwhelmingly took set three, 25-11, and staved off a late fourth-set Caz rally to clinch the match with a 25-23 win.

The women finished with a .239 kill percentage with 47 kills, while the Wildcats finished with a .063 percentage and 31 kills. Witchney Clersainville, Taylor Tsatsis, and Lexi Taylor each tallied double-digit kill nights, with Clersainville leading the way with 15 kills and Tsatsis and Taylor posting 11 apiece. Clersainville added three total blocks with one solo, while Taylor charted ten digs. Erica Prindle had a double-double with 38 assists and 19 digs, while libero Shelby Nolan finished with a game-high 20 digs. Chloe Elsenbeck added six kills and a match-high four service aces.

Head coach Beau Bracchy's team returns to their home court on Monday with a Columbus Day matchup versus SUNY Poly at 7:00 p.m. They then travel to Elmira on Wednesday, Oct. 16 before opening their NAC season hosting a quad match on Saturday, Oct. 19, where they'll play Husson and Maine Maritime.
