Ashley Hintz Takes ACAA Weekly Award for Second Straight Week, Third Overall

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (October 17, 2018) – Sophomore libero and defensive specialist Ashley Hintz (Kingston, NY / Kingston) has received the American Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) Defensive Player of the Week for women's volleyball. This marks her second straight weekly honor and third overall. Hintz recorded 90 digs and eight service aces over four matches and 14 sets to guide the Broncos as the team currently stands at 12-7 on the year.

Hintz helped the Broncos gain a three-set victory against the Cazenovia Wildcats on Thursday where she marked a team-high of 23 digs. The sophomore would later aid Delhi in their two-match home sweep of Green Mountain and Rosemont on Sunday. Against the Eagles, Hintz recorded a career-high 36 digs, along with one service ace as the Broncos took a four-set victory. She continued on in the team's sweep of the Ravens, accumulating a dozen digs and four of the Broncos' 18 service aces.

Head coach Beau Bracchy's team is back in action hosting Elmira Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. in their home regular season finale. Thursday's contest will serve as the Broncos' senior day, as they honor the graduating Maslanka, as well as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee's Fan Appreciation Night. Free refreshments and giveaways will be available for those in attendance.
