Broncos Clip Green Mountain Eagles, Rosemont Ravens for Dual Home Sweep

DELHI, N.Y. (October 14, 2018) – The SUNY Delhi women's volleyball team turned in another strong multi-match showing Sunday for their home crowd as they welcomed Green Mountain and Rosemont for a tri-match. The Broncos, who entered Sunday's games with a 6-1 in multis this season, took care of the Eagles in four sets, while sweeping the Ravens in the latter game. Head coach Beau Bracchy's team, who were ranked sixth in the latest USCAA Division II Coaches Poll, jumped to 12-6 on the year and 8-1 in multi-matches.  

SUNY DELHI 3, GREEN MOUNTAIN 1

While the Broncos totaled an astounding 52 kills in match one, their set victories did not come easy. Their 25-20 first-set win stood as their largest margin of victory on the match, overcoming an early 5-0 deficit by scoring the next seven points and never looking back. They then grabbed the second set by a 25-23 score. After the Eagles won set three, 25-19, Delhi responded with a 26-24 set-four victory.

Erica Prindle turned in a triple-double, tallying a team-high 28 assists and ranking second with 11 kills and third with 13 digs; she also registered three service aces. Kristen Maslanka led the way with 12 kills, while garnering 14 digs. Libero Ashley Hintz recorded a team-best 36 digs. Witchney Clersainville and Haylee Lefebvre each totaled nine kills, with Clersainville notching four total blocks, including one solo, and Lefebvre serving up three aces.

SUNY DELHI 3, ROSEMONT 0

Delhi closed out its day sweeping the Ravens by way of 25-17, 25-10 and 25-14 set scores. The Broncos combined for 18 service aces, with Taylor Tsatsis leading with five aces and seven kills, while registering ten digs. Ashley Hintz and Haylee Lefebvre were second with four aces, with Hintz tallying a team-best 12 digs. Erica Prindle had three aces and a team-high 13 assists, while Witchney Clersainville garnered six kills and three block assists. Kristen Maslanka and Caitlyn Curcurito each totaled four kills and one service aces.

Coach Bracchy's squad continues their home stand Monday night, welcoming Utica to Floyd L. Maines Arena at 7:00 p.m.
