Women's Volleyball Slotted Seventh in Second USCAA Coaches Poll

USCAA COACHES POLLS – WEEK 2

NORFOLK, Va. (October 4, 2018) – The United State Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) posted the second edition of the Women's Volleyball Division II Coaches Poll. Head Coach Beau Bracchy's team was ranked seventh with 211 votes after splitting their four matches this past week, including wins over Pratt and Culinary on Sunday.

After opening their week with a defeat at Bard on Tuesday, the Broncos traveled to Pratt for a tri-match. Delhi came back from a 2-1 deficit to down the host Cannoneers in set four, 25-22, and the tiebreaking set, 15-6. Following a five-set defeat to King's (NY), the Broncos responded with a sweep of Culinary by 25-13, 25-16 and 25-5 set scores.

Cincinnati Clermont topped the poll again with 248 points. Johnson & Wales Charlotte ranked second with 243 votes, Christendom third with 242 votes, Penn State Fayette fourth with 232 votes and Penn State Dubois fifth with 231 votes. In addition, the Broncos are 2-0 against ranked teams in the USCAA Division I Poll, defeating Dean and Valley Forge, who were ranked sixth and ninth, respectively.

Kristen Maslanka leads Delhi this season with 134 kills, and second with 173 digs. Freshman Caitlyn Curcurito is second with 121 kills. Erica Prindle leads in assists with 269 assists. while Ashley Hintz leads with 179 digs. Witchney Clersainville leads in blocks with 19 total, including 11 solo, while Hailee Lefebvre has 18 blocks, including four solo.

Bracchy's team begins a six-date home stand tonight against SUNY Cobleskill, set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
