Broncos Sweep Pine Manor, Fisher in Second Straight Weekend Dual Challenge

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. (September 8, 2018) – For the second consecutive weekend, SUNY Delhi women's volleyball made it a clean sweep in dual matches, this time tallying victories over host Pine Manor and Fisher. The Broncos handily swept the Gators, 3-0, and pulled out a tough-fought 3-1 win over the Falcons. Head coach Beau Bracchy's team now stands at 4-1 on the year, and off to their best start since 2015. Delhi's other two wins this season came in the form of home dual match wins over Dean and Valley Forge last Sunday. 

SUNY DELHI 3, PINE MANOR 0

The Broncos rolled to 25-4, 25-5 and 25-10 victories, accumulating an astounding 27 kills and 20 service aces. Erica Prindle, Caitlyn Curcurito and Taylor Tsatsis each had five kills, while Witchney Clersainville, Haylee Lefebvre and Kristen Maslanka totaled four kills. Tsatsis led in the assist category with 13, with Prindle adding nine assists. Maslanka accounted for eight service aces.

SUNY DELHI 3, FISHER 1

Fisher took the first set, 25-21, but it was all Delhi from then on. The Broncos captured the latter three games in close contests, winning set two, 25-23, set three, 25-19, and the fourth frame, 26-24. Kristen Maslanka led Delhi with 17 kills, as well as tallying 18 digs, with Caitlyn Curcurito totaling ten kills. Taylor Tsatsis led the match with 27 assists, while providing 11 digs. Erica Prindle set up 22 assists, and gathered ten digs. Ashley Hintz led the team with 19 digs, with Madison Saleman adding 17 digs.

The Broncos' next contest sees them traveling upstate for a match with Utica on Monday, Sept. 10 at 7:00 p.m.
