Broncos Begin Road Season at Sage

DELHI, NY (September 6, 2018) – SUNY Delhi's women's volleyball traveled to Sage for their first road trip on Wednesday evening, receiving their first defeat of the year by a 3-1 score. Delhi now stands at 2-1 to begin the 2018 campaign. Sophomores Haylee Lefebvre and Taylor Tsatsis led the way for the Broncos with five kills each, while junior Erica Prindle gathered a team-best 13 assists and 11 digs.

The Broncos started out strong, taking the first set, 25-20. The Gators, however, answered by taking the second set, 25-9. While the Broncos fought hard and close in the latter two sets, Sage took both games by 27-25 and 25-22 scores.

Kristen Maslanka, Erica Prindle, and Caitlyn Curcurito each finished with four kills, with Maslanka also gathering eight digs. Ashley Hintz added nine digs, while Shelby Nolan collected eight digs.

Head coach Beau Bracchy's Broncos return to the court this Saturday when they travel to ACAA-opponent Pine Manor for a pair of matches. Delhi plays the Pine Manor Gators at 11:00 a.m., then will take on Fisher at 1:00 p.m.
