Women's Tennis Completes Fall Season at Pratt

QUEENS, N.Y. (October 14, 2019) – The SUNY Delhi women's tennis team wrapped up their 2019 season on Saturday, playing Pratt at the world-renowned USTA Center, home of the U.S. Open. The Broncos were swept by a 9-0 score from the Cannoneers. 

In the doubles competition, Pratt took the one contest, 8-1, then captured 8-0 scores in games two and three. The Cannoneers captured five singles victories by matching 6-0 scores. The one outlier was two singles, where Hailey Gundersen was defeated by Sophie Bischoff, 6-1 and 6-0. Gundersen and doubles partner Mackenzie Landman accounted for the Broncos' lone point at one doubles versus Bischoff and Maia Schlussel.

The Broncos completed their first season under head coach Mark Birman with a 1-12 record and 1-5 in their inaugural campaign in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC). The Broncos 'lone victory came in the form of a 5-4 victory over Northern Vermont Lyndon.
