Women's Tennis Defeated at Pratt

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (September 17, 2017) – SUNY Delhi women's tennis made another trip to New York City Sunday, taking on Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. Despite close matches at one doubles and three and four singles, the Broncos were handed a 9-0 defeat by the Cannoneers.

Safiyyah Muhammad and Reika Kumasaki played a tight match against Pratt's one team of Amanda Twu and Melanie Kania, falling by just an 8-5 score. In the singles, Kumasaki, playing in just her second career match at Delhi, posted four points at three singles in her 6-2, 6-2 defeat to Neeka Gilardian. Rani Samudrala played a tight first set against Cory Marks in the fourth spot, dropping her match by 6-4 and 6-1 scores.
