MARCY, N.Y. (October 23, 2018) – Kelsey Innes' second career multi-goal performance made all the difference Tuesday night, as the freshman's two goals carried the Broncos to a 2-1 road win at SUNY Poly. Head coach Lauren Mackay's squad improved to 10-3 on the year.

Innes got Delhi on the board at the 14:56 mark, when she received a feed from Katie Herba that prompted the midfielder a breakaway chance, getting enough on the ball to breeze it past the charging goalkeeper Alysia Thomas. The North Babylon, NY native struck again in the second half, when Devin Baratto set Innes up with a pass over the top for a one-on-one opportunity, which she took full advantage of for the two-goal lead at 54:53. The Wildcats got one back at 73:52 on a Nakeya Stedman score. But thanks again to great defense and a three-save showing from goalie Rachael Scoones, the Broncos stifled SUNY Poly from any hopes of a tie.

Delhi held a slim 15-14 lead in shots, but a commanding 9-4 lead in shots on goal. The Broncos also posted a narrow 3-2 edge on corner kicks. Scoones climbed to 6-3 on the season.

Innes boosted her scoring totals to 25 points on ten goals and five assists, tying with Herba for the team lead in goals. Herba's assist added to her team-leading scoring total with 25 points.

Tuesday's win earned the Broncos their first ten-win season since 2013, and their first at the four-year collegiate level. Delhi also ended its three-game losing streak after opening the year with nine straight wins. The Broncos have qualified for next weekend's ACAA Tournament at Finlandia University (Mich.), where they'll take on Alfred State in the semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 1:00 p.m.

Before they make their postseason trek, Coach Mackay and the Broncos have one more regular season test, traveling to take on Fisher on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
