Laing Nets Hat Trick as Women's Soccer Continues Hot Start at Villa Maria

BUFFALO, N.Y. (September 9, 2018) – SUNY Delhi women's soccer continued its tearing start to the season Sunday at Villa Maria, posting a 15-0 win to stay undefeated at 4-0. The team is off to their first undefeated start through their first four matches since 2007.

Brianna Laing led all scorers with a hat trick and providing two assists. Kaitlin McGuiness, Delaney Meagher and Alexa Scaglione each had two goals. Olivia Curry, Sara Fischetti, Samantha Friedman, Katie Herba, Kelsey Innes and Madeeah Oranchak all contributed one goal of their own. The scores by Curry, Fischetti, McGuiness, Meagher and Oranchak marked the first of their careers.

Jessica Shultis and Jacqueline Slentz split halves in goal, with Shultis earning the victory. Slentz collected one save.

Head coach Lauren Mackay and the Broncos look to continue their charging start on Thursday when they welcome Keystone for a 4:00 p.m. match.
