Mackay Announces 2018 Coaching Staff; del Rosario, Morley Join Broncos

DELHI, N.Y. (August 20, 2018) – SUNY Delhi women's soccer head coach Lauren Mackay has announced her coaching staff for the 2018 season. Assisting the second-year head coach is Hartwick alumnus Michael del Rosario, along with St. Bonaventure graduate and previous Delaware Academy coach Dale Morley as the team's volunteer assistant coach. Former SUNY Delhi goalkeeper and recent graduate Katie Pardee returns to Coach Mackay's staff, volunteering as the goalkeepers coach; she served as student assistant coach in 2017.

About Michael del Rosario:

Del Rosario is from Stamford, N.Y. and graduated from Hartwick College in 2011 with a dual major in Accounting CPA and Business Administration. He played tennis for the Hawks all four years, as well as competing on Hartwick's club soccer team. He also served as the women's soccer team's assistant coach his senior year. Del Rosario's soccer skills landed him a trial with Germany's FV Wiehl in Landesliga.

Since graduation, del Rosario has coached at Delaware County Youth Soccer in Stamford, N.Y., and spent time in New Jersey coaching at Dynasty Sports Training and USA Sport Group. He currently works for Sportsfield Specialties in Delhi. Del Rosario holds coaching certifications at the U.S. Soccer National F & E levels.

About Dale Morley:

"I am very excited to be joining the staff for the SUNY Delhi women's soccer team. I am looking forward to this new experience and what I will be able to learn from head coach, Lauren Mackay, and the assistant coach, Michael Del Rosario. I have achieved success at the high school level and this is a great opportunity to take my career to the next level at the collegiate level. I have Lauren, Bob Backus, and the rest of the athletic department to thank for that. I'm ready to get to work and help this program to reach its pinnacle."

Morley, a Walton, N.Y. native, currently lives in Delhi, N.Y. and graduated from St. Bonaventure University in 2014 with a Bachelor's in Sports Management.

He has worked in the Delhi area the last several years as the assistant coach for the boys' varsity soccer team at Delaware Academy. The Bulldogs were four-time MAC Division champs from 2014 to 2018, including a Section 4 runners-up campaign in 2016.

Morley has also served as the assistant coach for the boys' varsity basketball team at Delaware Academy. He currently works as a Youth Division Aide at the Youth Leadership Academy in South Kortright, N.Y.
