OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (September 5, 2017) – The Association of Independent Institutions (AII) and the Northeastern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (NIAC) have announced junior forward Katie Herba (Perth, NY / Broadalbin-Perth) as its Women’s Soccer Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sept. 3.

Herba finished the first week of action with a team-high ten points on four goals and two assists. The junior tallied nine points on four goals and one assist against Penn State Hazleton, an 8-2 win, on Sunday. She had a hat trick in the first half against Hazleton, marking the second straight year she scored a hat trick against the Lions in the first half. The Perth, N.Y. native had an assist in the season opener at Alfred State on Friday.
