Women's Soccer Posts 2017 Schedule; Includes Seven Home Matches

DELHI, N.Y. (August 22, 2017) – SUNY Delhi women’s soccer head coach Lauren Mackay has unveiled her team’s schedule for the 2017 season. The schedule features 15 matches, including seven home matches. Mackay, who is in her first year as head coach, will lead a squad that looks to improve upon an 8-6-1 regular season mark in 2016, which led to a USCAA National Tournament appearance.

The Broncos open the season on the road against Alfred State on Sept. 1, followed by their home season opener versus Penn State Hazleton on Sept. 3. SUNY Delhi will then embark on a three-match road trip, beginning with a match at King’s on Sept. 10 at Randall’s Island, followed by Keystone on Sept. 12 and Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences on Sept. 14. Mackay’s squad will host NIAC opponent Villa Maria on Sept. 16, then will head back out on the road the next day to face SUNY Canton. The Broncos will have a two-match home stand, starting with Cazenovia on Sept. 19 and SUNY ESF on Family Weekend on Sept. 23. They will return to conference play the next day with a road meeting against the College of St. Joseph, then after a non-conference home match against Florida National on Sept. 29, will travel to face NIAC-foe Maine Fort Kent on Oct. 1. The Broncos will catch a ten-day break before returning to action hosting Vermont Tech on Oct. 11. Following an away contest against Bryant & Stratton Syracuse on Oct. 16, SUNY Delhi closes out the regular season with a home NIAC match against Fisher on Oct. 21. The NIAC Championship will be held from Nov. 4 to Nov. 5 at Fisher College.
