Herba Scores Four Again as Broncos Beat King's NY 5-1 at Randall's Island

RANDALL'S ISLAND, N.Y. (September 10, 2017) – The SUNY Delhi women's soccer team dished out a win Manhattan-style on Sunday, as four scores from Katie Herba and another from Liana Garry in her 2017 debut rode the Broncos to a 5-1 win over King's (NY). The Broncos improved to 2-1, while the Lions fell to 0-2. The match was played at Randall's Island Park in Manhattan.

Sunday's match marked the second straight game where Herba scored four goals. The last was in the Broncos' 8-2 win over Penn State Hazleton last Sunday. The junior forward currently leads the team with 18 points on eight goals and two assists. Devin Baratto, Stephanie Mason and Garry each assisted on Herba's scores, with her remaining score unassisted. Garry's goal was assisted by Samantha Friedman. Garry missed Delhi's first two contests due to injury. Goalkeeper Jacqueline Slentz picked up the win to improve to 2-1.
