Dave Arehart continues to contribute his dedication to the SUNY Delhi golf team, marking his 27th year with the program and taking on the role of General Manager for The College Golf Course for the upcoming 2023-24 season. As the longest-serving active coach in SUNY Delhi Athletics, Arehart's commitment to excellence has been a driving force for Broncos Golf since his arrival in April of 1998.

Arehart took on the responsibility of leading both the men's and women's programs during the institution's transition to NCAA Division III. His leadership garnered recognition as he was named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men's Golf Coach of the Year in 2018 and again in the 2020-21 season. These accolades coincide with his teams' consecutive achievements of NAC titles and an individual league champion. Notable victories include Danny Christy securing the 2018 NAC individual championship and the team clinching the 2019 and 2020-21 team crowns. The success extended to the USCAA Championships, with Alison Agoglia capturing the 2018 women's individual crown and the men emerging victorious in the 2020-21 National Invitational.

Throughout the years, Arehart's leadership has left an indelible mark on the men's teams. One standout moment was the Broncos' triumph at the 2017 USCAA Championship, which marked SUNY Delhi's first national championship outside of cross country and track and field. The team rallied from an 11-stroke deficit after day one to shoot a remarkable 295 on day two, culminating in a winning total of 604. Russell Herbert's performance tied him for first on the individual leaderboard.

Coach Arehart's legacy includes guiding at least one player to compete in the NJCAA National Championship during his initial three years, maintaining a Division III national ranking over two of those years. The transition to four-year athletics in 2001, after joining the NAIA, didn't slow down the team's momentum. National championship berths were earned in 2003 and 2005, with the latter team finishing as runners-up at the Region IX and X Championships. The pinnacle came in 2008 when Arehart's team captured the Region X title. The program's affiliation with the USCAA in 2014 led to a third-place finish in that year's national championship and a subsequent second-place finish in 2015.

Originally hailing from Elkton, Md., Arehart completed his Bachelor's in Business Administration at Shenandoah University in 1991. During his student days, he embarked on his journey at the nearby Winchester Country Club in Winchester, Va., first as a shop assistant and later as the First Assistant Golf Professional from 1991 to 1998. His PGA membership was earned from the course in 1996.

Residing in Delhi, N.Y., Arehart shares his life with his wife Liz and their four children – Ben, Libbie, Anna, and Molly.
