STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (October 8, 2019) – Sophomore Erin Schowerer earned her second straight second-place finish Tuesday at the USCAA National Championships, totaling a 98 (+26) score. She finished two strokes behind winner Kathryn McCathy from Penn State Schuylkill. Freshman Ava Rossi shot a 136 (+44) in her USCAA debut to place sixth.

Taking place at the par-72 Penn State Blue Course, the USCAA Championships were originally scheduled for two days between Monday and Tuesday. Monday's portion, however, was cancelled due to inclement weather.

In her first USCAA appearance last fall, Schowerer took second with a two-day total of 172 (81, 91) for 28-over. Fellow Bronco Alison Agoglia won the 2018 women's title with a 166 (81, 85) for 22-over.

The women have one more test before wrapping up their fall season, taking on the Lebanon Valley Dutchmen Invitational on Friday, Oct. 25.
