Vicki Andruszkiewicz joined the SUNY Delhi athletics staff as Head Women’s Basketball and Softball Coach in 2015-16. The former four-year varsity basketball and softball athlete at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth comes to Delhi after two years as the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Randolph College.

At Randolph, Andruszkiewicz helped the WildCats achieve two record-breaking seasons. This past year, the Randolph WildCats had the program’s winningest season in school history that began with winning the 15th Annual Jackie Ammons Memorial Tournament and earning an impressive 11-1 start to the season. Andruszkiewicz assisted with all facets of the program including recruiting, scouting, film exchange, weight training and student-athlete development.

Before heading to Randolph, Andruszkiewicz received her Master’s Degree in sport management from Florida State University. She also received her Online Graduate Coaching Certificate while in the program. While in graduate school at Florida State, Andruszkiewicz earned a lot of administrative experience as a graduate assistant with the intramural sports program. She helped coordinate over 2,000 teams and scheduled over 5,000 games in sports leagues and tournaments. In her second year as a graduate assistant, her position shifted focus to campus recreation facilities where she would oversee the operation of a 108-acre sport facility as well as 3 other sports facilities on campus. Also while at FSU, Andruszkiewicz volunteered for the Tallahassee Comets AAU basketball team.

Andruszkiewicz had four-year basketball and softball careers for the Corsairs of UMass Dartmouth. She was the starting shortstop for all four years on the softball team and a shooting guard for the basketball team, averaging over 11 points per game her senior year. She was a Dean's List honoree three times, while earning a spot on the Chancellor's List five semesters. She was named captain of both the UMass Dartmouth basketball and softball teams. Andruszkiewicz also earned Little East Player of the Week accolades for basketball and earned a spot as a Little East Conference Second-Team All-Star for softball. She was also named the UMass Dartmouth ECAC Female Scholar-Athlete her senior year and was the UMass Dartmouth Athletic Department Woman of the Year Nominee.  After graduation with a B.A. in Spanish, she returned to her alma mater as the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach for one year while also teaching Spanish at a local high school.

For the past two summers, Andruszkiewicz has coached at the University of Virginia Basketball Camp. She also has been a coach/evaluator for ScoutsFocus, a recruiting service for players across the United States. In the past, Andruszkiewicz coached with the 120 Swish LLC Eastern Basketball and has coached at the Salem State College Girl's Basketball Camp. She has also been a member of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) since 2013. “I am very excited to have the opportunity to coach the two sports that have had such a huge impact on my life,” says Andruszkiewicz. “I look forward to mentoring my student-athletes while giving them a positive experience all around at SUNY Delhi. The school has so much to offer and I cannot wait to join the campus community and work to develop two reputable sports programs.”
