Utica, NY - The SUNY Delhi women's basketball team was back in action Monday night, falling to Utica.
Utica would enter play fresh off their first win of the season and would ride that momentum into the first half, jumping out to a slim 6-point lead after the first quarter. The Pioneers would follow it up with their best quarter of the night, extending the lead to double digits at the break.
The Broncos would up their level of play in the second half, scoring more than double the amount of points they had in the first half. Ultimately, the Pioneers lead would be too much to come back from, as Delhi would fall short.
Delhi's top performers included junior Shakera Fullenwilder leading the way with 11 points. Sophomore Samantha Miller added 5 points to go along with 8 rebounds, and first-year Eleanor Wagner, in her first career start, totalled 9 points.
The Broncos fall to 0-7 and will take on Cobleskill away on Tuesday, Dec. 3.
