McDonald Notches Triple-Double, Starters Score All 96 Points in Rout of PSU Hazleton

DELHI, N.Y. (December 8, 2017) – Delhi's starting five raked in all the Broncos' season-high 96 points Friday as they defeated Penn State Hazleton at home by a 96-67 score. Camryn McDonald dominated both sides of the court, grabbing her first career triple-double with 23 points, 25 rebounds and 11 assists. Samiaya Salley led the way with 33 points, along with seven boards. Delhi continues its hot start at 9-3.

Erica Cornmire recorded 15 points, while Sam Acuna totaled 13 points, six rebounds and four assists, and Katie Herba accounted for 12 points, five boards and four assists. Delhi outshot Hazleton, 47.7 percent (42-for-88) from the floor to 32.9 percent (26-for-79), led, 66-48, in points in the paint, as well as 26-8 in fastbreak points. The Broncos grabbed 56 rebounds to the Lions' 46, and dished out 27 assists to Hazleton's five. Delhi also leveraged 18 Hazleton turnovers for 22 markers.

The Broncos jumped out to a 7-0 lead out of the gate and never looked back, stretching their lead to as much as 31 points before halftime. Delhi took a 51-23 lead into the halftime break, and set a season high in points, despite just making 4-of-14 from 3-point range. Salley connected on three of those triples, while Acuna notched the remaining 3-pointer.

Coack Vicki Andruszkiewicz's team's next contest sees them hosting Keuka this Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in Floyd L. Maines Arena.
