Women's Hoops Tied for Sixth in First USCAA Power Rankings

USCAA WEEK ONE POWER RANKINGS

NORFOLK, Va. (November 30, 2017) – The USCAA released its first set of women's basketball power rankings for the 2017-18 season, which has SUNY Delhi tied for sixth in all USCAA Division II. The Broncos are tied with Georgia Northwest Technical with 314 points.

Coach Vicki Andruszkiewicz's team is off to the best start in the third-year head coach's tenure at 6-3, opening the season with four straight wins. These included victories over Penn State Fayette, Penn State Greater Allegheny, Vermont Tech and Villa Maria. Samiaya Salley ranks fifth in the USCAA in scoring at 21.9 ppg. She has recorded six 20-point games, including one 30-point game, which came in the Broncos' 83-54 rout of Vermont Tech on Nov. 8. Camryn McDonald averages a double-double with 12.3 ppg. and 12.0 rpg., ranking sixth nationally in rebounds. The freshman guard/forward was recently named the ACAA and NIAC Player of the Week, and already has six double-doubles this season. Fellow freshman Kiera Holland is second on the team with 16.8 ppg., tallying a pair of 20-point games.

Maine-Augusta topped the Division II women's poll with 336 points. Central Maine ranked second, followed by Johnson & Wales-Charlotte and Villa Maria tied for third and Penn State Lehigh Valley fifth.
