DELHI, N.Y. (November 17, 2017) – Back on their home court, the SUNY Delhi women's basketball team tipped off this weekend's Bronco Fastbreak Friday night with a 63-48 win over Berkeley. The Broncos improved to 6-1, and will play again on Sunday against The Apprentice School at 12 noon. The Knight and Builders will square off Saturday at 12 noon.

While Delhi maintained a lead for most of the game, it wasn't until the fourth quarter that the Broncos pulled away. Holding a slim 43-41 advantage in the beginning of the fourth, Delhi ran off eight straight points and 20 of the remaining 27 points of the contest. The Broncos never allowed the Knights to get any closer than seven points the rest of the way.

Samiaya Salley led the game with 20 points, while Camryn McDonald had her fifth double-double of the year with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Katie Herba connected for eight points and a game-high 13 boards, while Kiera Holland made 15 points.

Delhi shot 36.8 percent from the floor (25-for-68) and Berkeley fared 33.3 percent (20-for-60). While both sides finished somewhat similar in field-goal percentage, the Broncos made 3-of-8 from 3-point distance, while the Knights converted on 1-of-16 attempts. Delhi also led, 51-37, in rebounds, including 20 offensive boards, which resulted in a 16-8 Delhi advantage in second-chance points. The Broncos also held a 24-14 advantage in points off turnovers, in which Berkeley had 25 turnovers and the Broncos 23. Delhi held a 38-36 lead in points in the paint.
