Hoskins, McLean Take on Heptathlon at SUNY Cortland

CORTLAND, N.Y. (April 21, 2019) – SUNY Delhi women's track and field's multi tandem of Susan Hoskins and Aliyah McLean made the trip to SUNY Cortland over the weekend to compete in the heptathlon. Hoskins finished tenth overall in the two-day event with 3,188 points, while McLean took 14th with 2,687 points.  

Hoskins had a pair of top-five placements, earning fourth in the javelin throw at 23.16m for 348 points, while taking fifth in the high jump, one of her top events, at 1.48m to grab her competition-best 599 points. She finished tenth in the 200-meter dash for 542 points. McLean earned her highest single-event point total in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing 11th with a time of 17.17 for 577 points. She finished sixth in the long jump at 4.62m for 459 points, as well as taking ninth in the shot put with a throw of 7.85m for 390 points.

Hoskins, McLean and the Broncos are now ready to embark on a championship week. Delhi is prepared to make a visit to Penn Relays this Thursday and Friday prior to competing at the NAC/GNAC/NECC Championships at Regis College on Saturday and Sunday.
