Men's Distance Sets Career Highs at Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. (April 7, 2019) – SUNY Delhi men's distance runners Nicholas Arnecke, Kobie Lane and Abshir Yerow all set new personal bests on the grand stage of Saturday evening's Princeton Sam Howell Invitational. Lane and Arnecke took flight in the 5K, with Lane finishing 12th at 14:49.69 and Arnecke 16th at 14:52.81. Lane's time was within four seconds off the school record, set by Chris Burke at the 2010 Penn Relays with a time of 14:45.37. Arnecke earned an AARTFC qualifier with his finish, lining the senior up to compete in both the 5K and the 10K at May's regionals at Ithaca College. Yerow placed seventh in the 10K, clocking in at 31:44.94. His new career high was within one minute of Arnecke's school record of 30:44.62, set at last year's Penn Relays.
