ITHACA, N.Y. (February 3, 2019) – SUNY Delhi women's and men's track and field spent the weekend at the Ithaca College Bomber Invitational and Multi. The Broncos posted a strong day during Saturday's invitational, highlighted by jumper Glenn Butler Jr. setting both a personal and team season best in the high jump, who placed second at 1.88m.
Shamar Barker took fourth place in the 500 meters with a time of 1:12.08, while Humphrey Banful took sixth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.82. The two teamed up with Owen Sleasman and Sean Andrews in the 4x200, with the group placing sixth at 1:34.50, just 1.5 seconds off the AARTFC qualifying mark. The relay team of Jaylynn Sheppard, Ashley Magnifico, Erica Cornmire and Katerina Salcedo earned the women's highest mark Saturday with a seventh-place finish in the 4x200 at 1:54.14.

It would be the women who represented Delhi during Sunday's multi, as Susan Hoskins, Aliyah McLean, Ashanti Mirville and Arielle Moheimani competed in the pentathlon. Moheimani was Delhi's top finisher, taking 11th with 2,441 points. Her highest performance was in the 800 meters, taking fourth with a time of 2:36.81 for 610 points. Susan Hoskins placed 16th with 2235 points, posting her top performance in the 60-meter hurdles at 13th in a time of 10.63 for 599 points.
Head coach Robb Munro's team looks to make a return visit to Ithaca College in one month for the AARTFC Indoor Championships from Friday, Mar. 1 to Saturday, Mar. 2. Until then, the Broncos have four more indoor meets: Boston Valentine Invitational (Feb. 8 to Feb. 9), Colgate Class of '32 Invite (Feb. 9), Cornell Denault Invite (Feb. 16), and the NYC Armory Last Chance (Feb. 22).
