Broncos Excel in 3K, Steeple, and Hammer at Friday's TCNJ Invite

EWING, N.J. (April 8, 2018) – A handful of SUNY Delhi track and field athletes competed Friday at The College of New Jersey Invitational, pulling out one win and four top-ten placements. Wesley Cruz took a second-place finish in the 3000m steeplechase at 10:12.95. Hurler Brandon Holliday set a new personal best in the hammer throw, taking seventh place at 47.51m.

In the distance events, Kobie Lane won his second straight race of the outdoor season in the 3K with a time of 8:43.95. Jon Messler took eighth in the same race at 9:08.55. On the women's side, Tristen Bowker finished 18th with a time of 13:04.28, while Jewel Pignetti placed 21st at 13:23.08.

Coach Robb Munro's squad will play host for their next meet this Saturday, as they lace up for their own Bronco Classic. Events start at 10:00 a.m.
