Beebe Takes 12th in High Jump at NAIA Indoor Nationals

PITTSBURG, Kan. (March 2, 2018) – Jumper Michael Beebe took flight in his first-ever indoor national championship meet Friday at the NAIA Championships, placing 12th in the high jump with a height of 1.98m. Tyler Blakeley of Lewis-Clark State won the championship with a height of 2.10m.

Beebe qualified for the NAIA national meet after twice jumping for 2.00m during the indoor season, the first time at the Colgate Class of '32 Invite and second at the Armory Last Chance Invite. He was the first of three Broncos to compete at this weekend's national championships. Distance runners Nicholas Arnecke and Kobie Lane will compete on Saturday, with Arnecke running in the 5,000 meters and Lane in the 3,000 meters.
