Arnecke, Beebe, Lane Primed for This Weekend's NAIA Indoor Championships

NAIA INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIP SCHEDULE | WATCH LIVE

DELHI, N.Y. (February 26, 2018) – SUNY Delhi track and field athletes Nicholas Arnecke, Michael Beebe and Kobie Lane are set to compete at this weekend's NAIA National Indoor Championships, hosted by Pittsburg State in Pittsburg, Kan. Arnecke will race in the 5000 meters, while Beebe will take flight in the high jump and Lane set to run in the 3000 meters. The championships will take place from Thursday, Mar. 1 to Saturday, Mar. 3.

"We are very excited to have these three student-athletes here for the opportunity to compete at a high level championship meet," exclaimed head coach Robb Munro. "The build up for all three athletes has been very different, but I believe they are ready to go at peak level this weekend!"

Arnecke locked up a 5K spot at nationals after posting a new school record with a time of 14:59.92 at the Ramapo Season Opener in the New York City Armory. The junior broke the previous record of 15:17.1 set by Jeremy Cornue in 2000. Beebe twice matched his personal best height of 2.00m, the first at the Colgate Class of '32 Invite and most recently at the Armory Last Chance Invite. Lane earned a spot on the national 3K starting line after clocking in a season-best time of 8:42.30 at the Ithaca Bomber Invite.

Arnecke's 5K semis race will take place on Thursday, Mar. 1 at 2:45 p.m., with the finals prepped for Saturday, Mar. 3 at 4:00 p.m. Beebe's high jump trials and finals will be on Friday, Mar. 2 at 2:00 p.m., while Lane's 3K run is Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
