The SUNY Delhi Track and Field teams wrapped up their season this weekend at the St. John Fisher College Last Chance Meet.

Leading the way was freshman Andrew Davis who picked up his first collgiate victory winning the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 9:59.25.  This was a season best time for Davis who took the lead early in the second lap and never relinquished it.  Davis impressively battled 40 mile per hour wind gusts in a solo effort for the win.

The top finisher for the woman was Zhane Ridley who placed second in the high jump with a clearance of 1.47 meters (4' 9.75").  Ridley and four other competitors went to 1.52 meters with only one able to clear the height.  With no misses until that point, Ridley secured second place.

Freshman Kelcey Watson finished her season with a third place finish in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.20 meters (10' 6").  Watson, who broke the school records this year for the event both indoors and out, battled a quad injury to compete.  With the season complete, Watson cleared the old school record or higher in all but one competition this year.

Other notable performances came from freshman Nicholas Arnecke, freshman Kobie Lane and sophomore Elliott Eccleston.  Arnecke placed fourth in the 5000 meter run with a huge personal best time of 15:49.63 seconds.  Arnecke started the season never having been under 19 minutes for the distance and capped a terrific season.  Lane placed fifth in the 1500 meter run with his second best performance all-time in 4:09.44.  Eccleston, who was competing for SUNY Delhi for the last time before he graduates, saved his best for last.  He had never jumped over 13 feet or four meters in his career and he took both of those marks down at the same time with a clearnace of 4.06 meters (13' 3.75").

This meet ended a terrific year for the Broncos that saw 11 school records broken between the indoor and outdoor seasons!
