Washington Lands Second AMCC Diver of the Week Honor

NORTH BOSTON, N.Y. (December 10, 2019) – The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) awarded freshman Jordan Washington (Middletown, NY / Middletown) as its Men's Diver of the Week. Washington earned his second weekly honor of the season after winning both the one meter and three meter diving events during the Broncos' home dual meet versus William Paterson on Saturday.

Washington posted 224.85 points for his one-meter jumps, earning his highest point total in the forward two-and-a-half somersault tuck. He also earned high marks in the inward two somersault tuck, as well as the inward one-and-a-half somersault tuck and the back one-and-a-half somersault pike.

He totaled 206.1 points on the three-meter board. His top points total came in the back dive tuck, while posting strong numbers in the inward one-and-a-half somersault tuck, reverse somersault tuck, forward two-and-a-half somersault tuck, forward one-and-a-half somersault single twist free, and forward one-and-a-half somersault pike.

Washington and fellow diver Joshua Lopez have combined for three AMCC Diver of the Week honors for the Broncos this season.

Washington and the Broncos return from winter break with a road dual meet at Wells on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 1:00 p.m.
