COBLESKILL, N.Y. (October 29, 2017) – The SUNY Delhi women's and men's swimming and diving team opened their season on Saturday at SUNY Cobleskill. The men scored 81 points to the Tigers' 114, while the women tallied 31 points to Cobleskill's 123.
On the men's side, William Goehringer gave Delhi its first win of the day in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 30.03. He also had a victory in the 100-yard IM with a mark of 1:09.59. Malik Williams followed suit with a win in the 50-yard breaststroke at 32.60. SeJean Gibbs also powered his way to two wins, taking the one-meter diving competition with 241.10 points and taking the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:28.00.
For the women, Lacey Rusaw earned two victories for the Broncos. She placed first in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 54.58 and the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:07.78.
