Baker, Lutz Accorded USCAA National All-Academic

NORFOLK, Va. (June 12, 2018) – Sophomore catcher Dakota Baker (Bogota, NJ / Bergen County Technical School) and sophomore pitcher Jenna Lutz (East Meredith, NY / Charlotte Valley Central School) were recently recognized to the USCAA Softball National All-Academic Team. This honor is awarded to student-athletes of sophomore standing or higher with at least a 3.5 GPA. Baker is a Culinary Arts major with a 3.72 GPA, while Lutz majors in Nursing with a 3.71 GPA.

Baker played in 20 games, batting .226 (7-for-31) with one RBI. In the field, the Bogota, NJ native held a .833 fielding percentage with 22 putouts. Lutz started 15 games in the circle with 20 appearances. She posted an 8.02 ERA through 77.2 innings, recording 28 strikeouts, as well as hurling six complete games.
