New and Improved Softball Ready for 2018 Season

DELHI, N.Y. (March 13, 2018) – SUNY Delhi softball head coach Vicki Andruszkiewicz has unveiled her team's schedule this spring. The Broncos, who opened their season with an 11-game mid-winter break trip in Myrtle Beach, S.C., look to improve upon last year's 5-19 mark as they enter their third season under Coach Andruszkiewicz.

"I am really excited about the group of athletes we have this year," said Andruszkiewicz. "We have a great group of sophomores to help lead us and ton of new talent. We increased our roster size and have a lot more depth now at each position. This is going to be a very special group that is getting better each day. Our future is so bright. We have so much potential and I am fortunate to be able to work with such a great group of athletes. Our season is going to be tough, but we were tested during our Myrtle Beach trip and are prepared for the rest of our opponents."

SUNY Delhi starts things off at home with a doubleheader against Alfred State on Mar. 24. The Broncos will travel the following day to Boston to play Fisher, then will return home to play Cazenovia on Mar. 28. Coach Andruszkiewicz's squad begins the month of April with a road swing that sees them going to Penn State Hazelton on April 3, College of St. Joseph on April 9, and a series of games over spring break at Stratford against both the Cardinals and Bryant & Stratton from April 12 to April 14. Delhi closes out its regular season hosting doubleheaders against Gallaudet on April 20, SUNY Canton on April 21 and 22, College of St. Joseph on April 24 and Fisher on April 26. Delhi's postseason will consist of competing at the NIAC Tournament at Fisher on April 28, then the ACAA Tournament the following weekend at SUNY Canton.
