Lane Takes Top Five as Delhi Grabs Fourth at Geneseo 8K

MT. MORRIS, N.Y. (September 29, 2018) – SUNY Delhi men's cross country team raced Saturday at the SUNY Geneseo Mike Woods Invitational. The men secured a fourth-place finish in a competitive field of 23 teams and 308 runners with 158 points.

Senior Kobie Lane led the Broncos, finishing the 8K course in 25:40.5 to take fifth overall. Sophomore Abshir Yerow was the next finisher for Delhi, crossing the line in 26:06.1 to take tenth place. Rounding out the scoring were juniors Lucas Reilly (25th, 26:28), Ted Oster (61st, 27:32) and Kevin Malen (116th, 28:26).

Delhi's runners also featured Jack Hopkins (182nd, 29:32), Bladimir Pena (197th, 29:59), Derrick Kenan (234th, 31:09), Anthony Cuchel (239th, 31:15), Tyler Kemble (248th, 31:51) and Caleb Mallery (254th, 32:54).

SUNY Geneseo finished first with 32 points, with Laurentian second at 69 points and Rowan third with 77 points. Other teams competing were RIT, St. John Fisher, Oswego State and SUNY Poly.

Head coach Robb Munro and the Broncos now prepare to host the annual Bronco Classic this coming Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. at the SUNY Delhi Golf Course.
