DELHI, N.Y. (August 8, 2018) – SUNY Delhi cross country and track and field head coach Robb Munro has announced Lucy Ford as the Broncos' assistant coach for the 2018-19 season. Ford comes to Delhi fresh from her graduation from SUNY Oneonta, where she was a two-time SUNYAC champion in track and field, as well as running cross country.

"I am very excited to have Lucy join the staff to assist with cross country and track and field," said Munro. "Lucy has a strong background in the jumps and multi-events which lends itself very well to coaching the diverse events in track and field. She has competed at a high level, winning a state championship in high school for Connie Herzig in Cooperstown and winning two individual SUNYAC titles for SUNY Oneonta. I believe that her experience will be a great benefit to our student-athletes as we look to establish ourselves among the NCAA Division III ranks."

As a SUNY Oneonta Red Dragon, Ford won the 2016 SUNYAC title in the high jump and the 2017 SUNYAC title in the Heptathlon. Her resume boasts personal bests of 1.69m (5'6.5") in the high jump and 4103 points in the heptathlon. Ford attended Cooperstown High School where she won the 2013 New York State Division II Championship in the high jump. While bringing a knowledge of numerous event areas to the Broncos from her years as a multi-athlete to the program, Ford is set to work on her Master's Degree in Sports Management at SUNY Cortland.
