SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (October 31, 2018) – Freshman goalkeeper Gabriel Rodrigues (Mount Vernon, NY / Mount Vernon) provided the SUNY Delhi men's soccer team's second national weekly honor of the season, being named the USCAA Division II Goalie of the Week. The freshman goalkeeper's shutout performance in Delhi's 4-0 win at Fisher Sunday led the Broncos to close out the regular season with nine straight wins, entering the postseason at 12-2. It was also a weekly awards sweep for Rodrigues, having been named ACAA Defensive Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.

Rodrigues posted five saves versus the Falcons Sunday evening for his first career shutout, moving to 3-1 on the year. The native of Mount Vernon, NY was responsible for three of the Broncos' nine consecutive wins, which helped the team earn a spot at this weekend's ACAA Tournament, hosted by Finlandia University (Mich.). Rodrigues and the Broncos will take on Pine Manor in the conference semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 7:00 p.m.
