Men's Soccer Earns Third Seed for ACAA Tournament, Will Play Pine Manor in Semifinals

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (October 16, 2018) – The American Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) unveiled the field for the 2018 Men's Soccer conference tournament. SUNY Delhi has been selected as the third seed, and will play two-seed Pine Manor in the semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 7:00 p.m. The league tournament will be held at Finlandia University in Hancock, Mich.

Head coach Brian Mitko's team is 8-2 on the season, and are currently on a five-match winning streak. Junior forward and team-leading scorer Alhasane Sako has been named a two-time ACAA Athlete of the Week, while also garnering USCAA weekly honors. Goalie Marcos Andrino, defender Stefan Correia and forward Brody Rettle have too earned ACAA Athlete of the Week awards. The Broncos have been ranked third in the last two USCAA Division II Coaches Polls.

The ACAA Men's Soccer Tournament consists of four teams. The winner of the Broncos-Gators match will take on the victor of the semifinals contest between top-seeded Thomas Moore and fourth-seed and host Finlandia, set for Saturday, Nov. 3 at 4:00 p.m. The two remaining teams will battle it out for the ACAA Championship on Sunday, Nov. 4 at 2:00 p.m.
