Men's Soccer Fights Hard in 2-0 Defeat at Bard

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. (September 16, 2018) – SUNY Delhi men's soccer visited Bard on Saturday, where the Broncos took the Raptors for a 26-11 disparity in shots. Bard, however, was able to cash in on one goal for each half to take a 2-0 win. Delhi now stands at 3-2 on the season.

Raptor Naka O'Connor scored both goals on the day, the first coming on a first-half penalty kick in the 31st minute. His second came from a cross from Zach Pilarski in minute 74. Broncos keeper Marcos Andrino had three saves on the day. Delhi offered up six shots on the goal, but were unable to meet the mark past Bard goalie Logan Leppo. The Broncos also led in corner kicks by a 9-4 margin.

Head coach Brian Mitko's team returns home on Wednesday for a meeting with Southern Vermont on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 4:00 p.m.
