Cassidy Scores a Pair in Road Defeat at Maine Fort Kent

FORT KENT, Me. (October 2, 2017) – Despite a combined seven saves from goalies Marcos Andrino and Corey O'Toole and two second-half scores from Matthew Cassidy, the Broncos were unable to erase an early 7-0 deficit against Maine Fort Kent on Sunday, as the Bengals took the NIAC contest, 9-2.

Maine Fort Kent led at halftime, 6-0, and then tacked on an early second-half score for its largest lead of the contest at 7-0. A pair of penalties awarded Delhi penalty kicks, where Cassidy was called on to deliver two scores to cut MFK's lead to 7-2. The Bengals answered back with two unanswered goals to close out the scoring.

Andrino had four saves in the first half, while O'Toole played the entire second half, gathering three saves. Nine different Bengals scored on the afternoon, with Jostin Sarmiento, Michael Zerniak and Frank Jauler each having a shot on goal for Delhi.
