Sam Miller is in his eighth year leading the SUNY Delhi men's lacrosse program for the 2024 season. He served his first two years as the team's interim head coach, and was officially appointed head coach in the summer of 2018. Miller, a graduate and former student-athlete at SUNY Brockport, is set to carry Delhi's proud history of men's lacrosse into its new era in NCAA Division III.

Miller guided Delhi through its transition to NCAA Division III, with their first official season in 2019 seeing the Broncos post an 11-6 record, including a 5-1 record in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC). The Broncos earned a berth in the NAC/NECC Tournament, along with eight student-athletes earning All-NAC recognition. The program continued to thrive during the challenging 2020 and 2021 seasons impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, including six Broncos earning 2021 All-NAC selections and two first-team nods.

This past season Miller and the Broncos made their first-ever North Atlantic Conference title game appearance after getting their first-ever conference tournament win in the NAC West Finals.

Miller came to Delhi after serving as a volunteer assistant coach at his alma mater, SUNY Brockport, for one season. His first Broncos team in 2017 posted a 7-5 record, followed by a 4-10 campaign in 2018. In his first season, Coach Miller mentored Connor Filiberto to become the team's first four-year All-American when the senior defender landed a spot on the NAIA All-American Second Team. Filiberto was also named the Association of Independent Institutions (AII) Defensive Player of the Year.

As Brockport's defensive assistant in 2016, he helped guide the Golden Eagles to the SUNYAC Championship game for the first time in program history, finishing with a 12-4 record. The defense that season gave up a mere 6.88 goals per game and program-recorded 103 goals.

Prior to coaching at Brockport, Miller spent two seasons as a volunteer assistant coach at Randolph Macon College in Ashland, Va. from 2014 to 2015. The Yellow Jackets were 15-19 in those two seasons.

Miller graduated from Brockport in 2016 with a degree in Criminal Justice. He played two seasons for the Golden Eagles in 2012 and 2013, earning a SUNYAC playoff bid his senior year for only the second time in program history. He played his first two seasons at Salisbury University in Maryland from 2009 to 2010. Miller helped the Seagulls reach the 2010 NCAA Division III Championship game,  and capture the 2009 Capital Athletic Conference title.
