Herbert Shoots Even, Broncos in Fifth with 309 at USCAA Day One

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (October 9, 2017) – The SUNY Delhi men's golf team stands in fifth place after a rainy first day at the USCAA National Championships. The Broncos combined for a 309 on the day, with Russell Herbert leading the team with a 72, including a 35 on the back nine. Cleary is in first place with a 298, with Penn State Lehigh Valley's Evan Fah's topping the leaderboard with a 70. The competition is being held at the par-72, 7,219-yard Penn State Blue Course.

Joseph Burgin and Ryan Florack each finished with a 77, while Aaron Oliver, fresh off an individual NIAC Championship last weekend, clubbed a 79. Alex Fisher finished with an 81, while Jonathan Smolen carded an 83. Burgin is Delhi's individual player, and he does not count toward the team score.
