Men's Basketball Comes Up Short To Lyndon

Lyndon, VT - The SUNY Delhi men's basketball team was back in action for another conference matchup, coming up short to Lyndon.

The Broncos entered play looking to improve their win streak to three games in a meeting against fellow conference opponent Lyndon. Each side would start the game strong, trading baskets for the first ten minutes of the half that saw Delhi with the slight lead. The Hornets, however, would flip the script at the midway point, aided by an 11-3 run to close the half, entering the break ahead by 8 points.

Delhi's offense would begin to click, posting 48 points in the second half, 15 more than the first half. It would be the Hornets still with the answer, matching the Broncos offensive surge to maintain their lead. Lyndon would eventually close the door on a possible comeback attempt, earning themselves the home victory.

Delhi's top performers included first-year Abdul-Jaleel Ibrahim, leading the way for the Broncos, posting 17 points off the bench. Senior Lester McCarthy totaled 16 points as senior Warren Davis added 12 points and 8 rebounds.

The Broncos fall to 8-12, 5-4 in conference play, and will next take on Cobleskill at home.
