DELHI, N.Y. (November 25, 2018) – Led by Carlois Ithier's 7-for-8 performance from 3-point range for 23 points, 14 Broncos scored Sunday in the men's basketball team's 96-66 victory over SUNY Cobleskill. The meeting marked the Fighting Tigers' first return to Floyd L. Maines Arena since 2008, as Delhi now holds the 2-0 lead in the all-time series since both schools transitioned to four-year athletics. Head coach Zack Thomsen's squad improved to 2-2 on the year.

The Broncos ran off the first eight points of the contest, and never looked back. By the time the Fighting Tigers reached double digits, Delhi held a 38-10 lead with 6:25 remaining in the half. Ithier made three of his triples in the opening period for nine first-half points, while William Knight made 4-of-5 from long range, totaling all 14 of his points through the first 20 minutes, to power the Broncos to a 54-21 halftime advantage. The men continued on in the closing half, extending their lead to as much as 38 points to sustain some distance.

Justin Daoud connected for 13 points with six rebounds, as Mavenson Therneus logged ten points. Payton Dean narrowly missed out on a double-double with nine points and 14 boards, while Norman Wilson tallied eight points. Jordan Fragale dished out 11 assists with three points, as Saquan Goland grabbed six rebounds with two points. Sunday's victory featured the first career points for Broncos newcomers Jacob Beach, Baba Babalola, Manny Cheema, Ricky Hicks and Jalen Stewart. Donavyn Perrin also accounted for Delhi's scoring.

The Broncos shot 50.0 percent from the floor (32-for-64) and 12-for-22 from behind the arc, as Cobleskill shot 35.4 percent (23-for-65) and 8-of-28, respectively. Delhi also head a 45-37 advantage in rebounds and 38-20 in points in the paint.

Coach Thomsen's men have two weeknight road matches this week, starting at Bard on Tuesday and Hartwick on Thursday. Both contests are set to start at 7:00 p.m.
