Fragale, Slobe Selected to ACAA All-Academic Team

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (February 1, 2018) – The American Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) today released its All-Academic Men's Basketball Team. Sophomores Jordan Fragale (Baldwinsville, NY / C.W. Baker) and Jake Slobe (Red Creek, NY / Red Creek) were both recognized on the five-player squad. Fragale is an Accounting major with a 3.32 GPA, while Slobe majors in Criminal Justice with a 3.69 GPA.

Each of the five all-academic honorees came from SUNY institutions. SUNY Delhi and SUNY Canton both produced two student-athletes, while Alfred State had one player recognized. Josh Monplaisir and Adrian Williams represented the Roos, while Tyler Elliott was the Pioneers' representative. The group had an average GPA of 3.47.

Fragale has played in all 27 games, starting all but two of them, ranking second in the ACAA in assists with 5.8 per game. The sophomore is second on Delhi with a 45.9 field goal percentage (105-for-229) and a 37.1 3-point field goal percentage (13-for-35). A few of Fragale's highlights this season include scoring a career-high 24 points at Florida National in January, as well as totaling three double-doubles.

Slobe, a first-year transfer from Onondaga CC, has played in every game with eight starts, and ranks second on Delhi and seventh in the ACAA with 12.8 ppg. The sophomore leads the team and is third in the conference with a 41.7 3-point field goal percentage (68-for-163), while totaling a 38.5 field goal percentage (111-for-288). He has recorded three 20-point games this year, including a career-best 25 point, ten-rebound performance at Buffalo State in November.

Slobe, Fragale and the rest of the Broncos have three more regular season games as they look to qualify for the USCAA Division II Tournament at Penn State Fayette. The championship will field ten teams, with Delhi eligible for one of the six at-large bids. The Broncos, currently 15-12 and ranked 13th in the latest national coaches' poll, finish their season on the road, taking on Alfred State on Feb. 10, Villa Maria Feb. 11 and SUNY ESF on Feb. 13.
