BOSTON, Mass. (January 17, 2018) – The SUNY Delhi men's basketball team returned to their high-scoring ways Wednesday night, securing a 92-74 victory at Fisher. The Broncos exacted revenge on a Falcons squad that rallied to hand Delhi a 72-65 overtime defeat in their last meeting at Floyd L. Maines Arena on November 12. The NIAC win has Delhi sitting at 12-10 as they continue their northeastern trip up to Maine Fort Kent for a matchup on Friday.

Payton Dean led all scorers with 22 points and grabbing eight rebounds, while Jordan Fragale notched a double-double with 16 points and 13 assists, pulling down five boards in the process. Jake Slobe racked up 17 points, netting a game-high five 3-pointers, while William Knight connected on four threes on his way to 12 points. Carlos Ithier added nine points, with Stephen Harten contributing seven points, four rebounds and four steals.

While Delhi trailed Fisher on rebounds, 45-33, the Broncos held just two Falcons (Anthony Kellum, 21 pts., Brandon Rembert, 12 pts.) to double-digit scoring totals. SUNY Delhi held a 36-26 lead in points in the paint, as well as cashing in 13 Fisher turnovers for a 14-6 lead in points off turnovers. The Broncos finished shooting 47.2 percent from the floor (34-for-72), making 13-of-31 threes and 11-of-13 free throws. The Falcons fared 43.5 percent (27-for-62), connecting on 10-of-27 triples and 10-of-16 free throws.

The Broncos fell behind just once in the game. After leading for nearly the entire first half, Delhi trailed, 40-39, at halftime when Fisher's Malik Tavares hit a go-ahead three with just seconds remaining in the first half. Delhi went back in front on the heels of a Dean jump shot at 43-42 with 18:05 to play. This occurred in the middle of a 19-2 Broncos scoring run over the course of roughly five minutes. Delhi extended its lead to as much as 20 points before clocking out for the night.
