USCAA DIVISION II COACHES' POLL - WEEK FOUR

DELHI, N.Y. (January 11, 2018) – The SUNY Delhi men's basketball team broke in to the top 15 for the first time this season at number 14 in the fourth and latest USCAA Division II Coaches' Poll. The Broncos, who are 10-9, received 182 points, moving up from number 16 in the previous poll released prior to winter break. Head coach Zack Thomsen's team first entered the poll at number 19 in the second edition rankings.

The Broncos opened 2018 with a stay at the Florida National Beach Bash, including beating Blue Lights by a 79-68 score, as well as battling Florida National in a high-scoring game where both combined for 195 points. Perhaps Delhi's biggest splash so far in 2018 was a resounding 110-58 rout of College St. Joseph on Wednesday, where William Knight made nine 3-pointers on his way to a career-high 40 points. The win marked the Broncos' highest-scoring game since 2015, with Knight's performance setting a new school single-game scoring record in the three years Coach Thomsen has been head coach.

Berkeley (NY), who Delhi defeated earlier this year, ranked first in the poll with 297 points. Villa Maria dropped to second, while NHTI, the Broncos' next opponent, ranked third. Central Maine took the fourth spot and Central Penn ranked fifth.

Delhi is set to square off against the NHTI Lynx at home on Saturday, January 13 at 1:00 p.m. in Floyd L. Maines Arena.
