POULTNEY, VT. (January 10, 2018) – SUNY Delhi men's basketball racked up their highest game point total in two years Wednesday evening, making a season-high 19 3-pointers and 54.5 percent from the field in a 110-53 blowout of St. Joseph. William Knight led the charge with a career-high 40 points, connecting on 9-of-14 threes.

Wednesday's contest marked Delhi's highest-scoring game since its 113-100 win over Central Penn on Nov. 1, 2015. The NIAC win puts the Broncos back over .500 at 10-9, with their next game at home against NHTI on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

"Overall I was very pleased with how our team played," said head coach Zack Thomsen. "We had tremendous intensity on the defensive end and did a great job sharing the ball and getting great shots. Will was great, I know and he knows he's a better shooter than he's shot the ball so far this year. Tonight he showed that and his teammates did a great job getting him the ball when he was open. It was a great team effort for us."

Knight, a sophomore, matched his previous career high of 22 points in just the first half alone, while logging six steals and playing all 40 minutes for the first time as a Bronco. He made six of Delhi's 11 first-half triples as the Broncos took a resounding 57-18 lead into halftime. Coach Zack Thomsen's squad took as much as a 56-point advantage late in the second half, with the Broncos finishing 18-for-30 and 18-for-36 from the field in each respective half.

Jake Slobe was second on Delhi with 16 points and making 4-of-6 3-pointers. Jordan Fragale had 15 points and nine assists, while Carlos Ithier and Terrance McBride each had ten points, making a pair of threes apiece. Saquan Goland scored six points and collected 12 rebounds.

The final spreadsheet had the Broncos at 54.5 percent (36-for-66) shooting and CSJ at 35.4 percent (23-for-65). The Broncos made 19-of-30 from 3-point range and 19-of-25 from the charity stripe, while the Fighting Saints made 4-of-23 and 8-of-17, respectively. Delhi held a 45-36 advantage on the boards and cashed in on 26 CSJ turnovers for a 35-19 lead in points off turnovers. The Broncos also led, 34-21, in bench points.
