BUFFALO, N.Y. (November 28, 2017) – The SUNY Delhi men's basketball team traveled to Buffalo State Tuesday evening, where they met a Bengals squad that made over half their shots both from the floor and behind the arc in a 92-79 defeat. In a contest that saw Jake Slobe record his first double-double of the season, along with ten-point showings from Jordan Fragale and Damon Denteh, Delhi was unable to gain ground on a Buffalo State squad that opened with a lead and never looked back, leading by as much as 21 points at one point in the first half.

Slobe had a team-high 25 points with ten rebounds, while fellow starter Fragale had ten markers and reserve Denteh making ten points in 15 minutes off the bench. Saquan Goland gathered eight points and a team-best 11 rebounds, including seven offensive, in just 12 minutes as a reserve. Payton Dean had nine points, with Stephen Harten connecting for six points, five rebounds and six steals.

The Broncos ended the evening at 34.9 percent (30-for-86) from the field, where the Bengals shot 54.0 percent (34-for-63), shooting over 50 percent in both halves. Delhi was 5-for-18 from 3-point range, while Buffalo State made 8-of-14. The rebound battle was much tighter, with the Bengals holding a slim 48-47 edge on the boards. Delhi forced Buffalo State into 30 turnovers, cashing them in for 31 points. The Broncos held a 25-19 lead in second-chance points and a 29-26 advantage in bench points.
