DELHI, N.Y. (October 24, 2017) – The SUNY Delhi Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) served up great food and prizes as part of its Fan Appreciation Day during the women's and men's soccer team's home doubleheader on Saturday against Fisher. The Delhi fans were treated to two equally exciting contests that were both determined by one goal. Despite tying the match after a 2-0 second-half deficit, the women came up short against the Falcons, 3-2, while the men delivered a 2-1 victory.
Several of the SAAC representatives from Delhi's 19 athletic programs cooked up and gave out over 200 hot dogs, some cookies and water to fans from the campus and community. They also did a raffle at halftime of each game and in between games to give out 6 different prizes. Fans received a free raffle ticket upon arrival for a chance to win.
